Disabled Hoosier Veteran pass – Updated for 2025
The Disabled Hoosier Veterans (DHV) is available for Indiana residents
who possess or are eligible to purchase a DHV license plate under
IC 9-18-18-1. The veteran must have been issued a disability award letter
from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
This pass is not transferable to family members or any other individual. The
eligible veteran cardholder must be present in the vehicle at the time of use.
This DHV pass admits the eligible individual and all persons accompanying
the cardholder in a single private, family-type non-commercial vehicle, or
two motorcycles to any property administered by the Indiana DNR, where
entrances are designated and fees are charged. It is not valid for entrance to
State Historic Sites or Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center. This pass does
not cover special user charges for services and facilities within the property.
It is unlawful to copy or reproduce this pass. Individuals presenting a copied
or reproduced pass for sale or personal use will be prosecuted to the full
extent permissible under Indiana law. This pass is valid from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025.
There shall be no refund or replacement of lost pass.
The DHV admits the driver and passengers to Interlake OSRA and Redbird OSRA but is not valid for motorized trail use. An Off-Road Vehicle Permit or a Daily Trail Pass is required to access off-road trails.
